From IP to IPO Program (FITI)

  • Registration Process
Teams must first register an account on the official program website (http://fiti.stpi.narl.org.tw/), then fill in online team and personal basic information, including the recommending professor and contact details of the affiliated institution, for verification by the program office.
  • Can an individual apply for the FITI program?
The FITI program trains teams, not individuals. Recommended team size is 2–5 members.
  • Can teams that were previously selected apply again with the same business idea?
Teams previously ranked in the top 40 but not top 20 in any FITI round may reapply with a revised business plan. Teams previously in the top 20 may not reapply with the same core concept/technology (determined by reviewers).
  • Can corporate teams participate in the FITI training program?
FITI targets teams meeting both of the following criteria: (1) Affiliated (as student/staff) with universities or research institutions eligible for MOST funding; (2) Social members (non-qualifying) must not exceed 50% of total team members.
  • How to claim the Outstanding Entrepreneurship Award?
Teams awarded the "Outstanding Entrepreneurship Award" can apply for the startup fund after completing company registration, submitting relevant documents. The amount depends on the annual fundraising status.
  • How to fill in the recommending professor field online?
The recommending professor should hold at least an Assistant Professor position at a university or college.
  • Which unit’s contact information should be filled in for the team’s affiliated institution?
Choose one from: Department Office / Incubation Center / Office of Research & Development / Research Unit.
  • Can registration data be changed?
Registration is online and must be completed within the application period. To change data, leave a message on the official website or call with your "team name" to unlock and edit. Changes after the deadline are not allowed. Teams are responsible for any incomplete data affecting their eligibility.
  • Can incomplete registration materials be submitted later?
Registration must be completed within the application period. Late submission of incomplete materials is not allowed to ensure fairness for all teams. Teams are responsible for any consequences caused by incomplete submissions.
