Incubation Environment
The school currently has a total of 339 ping of occupied spaces, located on the 4th floor of the Mechanical Engineering Building in Campus 1 and the 6th floor of the Second Integrated Engineering Building in Campus 2. To enhance the support capacity of the office, plans have been made to build an Interdisciplinary Practice Hall in Campus 2 and an Industry-Academia Building at the Xingzhong Branch near Yunlin High-Speed Rail.

Xingzhong Branch: (30 incubation rooms, 457 ping) - under construction
(1) Incubation Rooms: 3 rooms of 50 ping, 3 rooms of 25 ping, 20 rooms of 10 ping, 4 rooms of 8 ping, totaling 30 rooms to meet the various space needs of SMEs and startup teams, equipped with two sets of desks and chairs, two sets of storage cabinets, network equipment, and air conditioning.
(2) Medium and Large Conference Rooms: Equipped with tables and chairs, computers, projectors, and audio systems, providing space for companies to hold large seminars, events, visits, and meetings.
(3) Intellectual Property Service Consultation Room: Simple desks and chairs, with periodic visits from patent offices to provide consultations on patent applications, oppositions, and infringement issues for faculty and resident companies.
(4) Patent Search Classroom: Simple desks and chairs, computers, and patent search software for companies to conduct patent searches and layouts, with regular courses teaching software operation.
(5) Training Computer Classroom: Simple desks and chairs, computer equipment, hosting regular educational and competency training courses for resident companies and faculty/students.
(6) Assembly and Testing Area: Equipped for companies to conduct assembly testing and practical applications.
- Interdisciplinary Practice Hall: (10 incubation rooms, 50 ping) - under construction
(1) Incubation Rooms: Each room approximately 5 ping, equipped with two sets of desks and chairs, two storage cabinets, network equipment, and air conditioning.
(2) Meeting Room: Simple desks and chairs, projector and audio equipment for specialized startup discussions, with display cabinets for product demonstration.
(3) Open Discussion Area: Interdisciplinary discussion space with simple desks and chairs, enabling companies to conduct cross-disciplinary technical discussions and fundraising activities at designated times.
- Second Integrated Engineering Building 6F (8 incubation rooms, 40 ping)
(1) Incubation Rooms: Each room approximately 5 ping, equipped with two sets of desks and chairs, two storage cabinets, network equipment, and air conditioning.
- Mechanical Engineering Building 4F (20 incubation rooms, 299 ping)
(1) Area A: Large spaces for special requirements, 9 rooms (8-51 ping), equipped with two sets of desks and chairs, two storage cabinets, network equipment, and air conditioning. Mainly used by external companies.
(2) Area B: 11 rooms of 8 ping each, equipped with two sets of desks and chairs, two storage cabinets, and air conditioning. Mainly used by external companies and faculty/student startups.
(3) Shared Spaces: One large conference room, two small conference rooms.
Exhibition Room: 15 seats, 10 computers, audio system, projector, computers equipped with patent search software, used by resident companies for meetings, visits, and patent searches.
Conference Room: 60 seats, desktop conference system, projector, used for large events, seminars, and competency training courses.
