Incubation Environment
Currently, the University’s incubation space totals 339 ping, located on the 4th floor of the Mechanical Engineering Building in Campus 1 and the 6th floor of the Second Comprehensive Engineering Building in Campus 2. To enhance the guidance capacity of the office, plans are underway to build a cross-disciplinary practice center at Campus 2 and an Industry–Academia Hub near Yunlin High-Speed Rail.

Xingzhong Branch: (30 incubation rooms, 457 ping) - under construction
(1) Incubation Rooms: 30 rooms in total, consisting of 3 rooms of 50 ping, 3 rooms of 25 ping, 20 rooms of 10 ping, and 4 rooms of 8 ping, designed to meet the diverse spatial needs of SMEs and startup teams. Each room is equipped with two sets of desks and chairs, two data cabinets, network equipment, and air conditioning.
(2) Medium and Large Conference Rooms: Equipped with desks, chairs, computers, projectors, and audio equipment, providing space for companies to hold large seminars, activities, visits, and meetings.
(3) IP Consultation Room: Equipped with basic desks and chairs. The office regularly arranges patent law firms to provide on-site consultation for faculty and resident companies regarding patent applications, re-examinations, and infringement issues.
(4) Patent Search Classroom: Equipped with desks, chairs, computers, and patent search software for companies to conduct patent searches and layout planning. Regular courses are offered to teach software operation.
(5) Education and Training Computer Classroom: Equipped with desks and computers to hold regular educational and skills training courses for resident companies and university faculty and students.
(6) Assembly and Testing Area: Equipped with relevant equipment for companies to conduct assembly testing and practical applications.
- 6th Floor, Second Comprehensive Engineering Building (8 incubation rooms, total 40 ping)
(1) Incubation Rooms: Each room is approximately 5 ping, equipped with two sets of desks and chairs, two data cabinets, network equipment, and air conditioning.
4th Floor, Mechanical Engineering Building (20 incubation rooms, total 299 ping)
(1) Area A: Large-space rooms for users with special space requirements. There are 9 rooms (8–51 ping), equipped with two sets of desks and chairs, two data cabinets, network equipment, and air conditioning. Main users are external companies.
(2) Area B: 11 incubation spaces, each 8 ping, equipped with two sets of desks and chairs, two data cabinets, and air conditioning. Main users are external companies and student startups.

(3) Shared Spaces: One large conference room and two small conference rooms.
Exhibition Room: Equipped with 15 seats, 10 computers, audio equipment, and a projector. All computers have patent search software installed, available for resident companies to use for meetings, visiting company sessions, and patent searches.
Conference Room: Equipped with 60 seats, desktop conference system, projector, and other equipment, used for large events, seminars, and skills training courses.
